Every Liberty track can use Wyoming

You enter each of Liberty's online nursing tracks already an RN, so under Wyoming's rules they are all post-licensure programs. That puts them in the board's notice category, not its approval one.

Wyoming's Chapter 6 rules, in order

1. Standing in WyomingPrograms from other states need standing first: approval through NC-SARA, or a registration on file with the Wyoming Department of Education.
2. Written noticeBoard approval isn't required for a post-licensure program. What the program does owe the board is written notice whenever one of its students is headed for a clinical learning experience in Wyoming, and the board provides a sample cover letter for it.
3. Facility contractThe program and the clinical facility sign a written contract before clinicals begin, and the program keeps a copy on file for the board.

Liberty's Wyoming page says the board requires the institution to notify it of placements, which matches the second step. The notice and the contract are Liberty's to handle, but a facility that is slow to sign can hold up your start, so confirm timing with Liberty's practicum team. Full practice and small-town Wyoming

AANP lists Wyoming as a full practice state, and our research notes no transition period there. Who may precept you is still Liberty's call; see preceptor requirements.

Wyoming has no large city. Per the 2025 Census estimates, the Cheyenne metro has about 103,000 people and Casper about 81,000, with about 48,000 in the Gillette micropolitan area. Our research turned up five names. Sheridan Memorial Hospital and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center are two. Casper has Banner Wyoming Medical Center, part of Banner Health, which is based in Arizona. Gillette has Campbell County Health, and Laramie has Ivinson Memorial Hospital, a UCHealth affiliate. The Wyoming Department of Health is an option for Community Health students. No Wyoming preceptor incentive appears in our research.

Licensing and the APRN Compact

The Nurse Licensure Compact has been in effect in Wyoming since January 19, 2018, so Liberty accepts a Wyoming or multistate RN license for practicum there. The RN license for practicum page explains what changes if you move.

Wyoming has enacted the APRN Compact too, and you'll find it in the state statutes at Title 33, Chapter 21, Article 3. Only five states have enacted it and it needs seven, so it doesn't operate yet and has no bearing on your practicum.
